Short version: your shopping list is your business. We don't want your personal details and we haven't built anywhere to put them.
What we store
A Mammas Pantry list holds the things you put in it — item names, quantities, the aisle they fall under, the first names people give themselves, and which of those names added what. That's it.
- No email address, phone number or postal address is required to use a list.
- No account and no password, so there's no login for anyone to lose.
- No payment details are collected anywhere on this site.
The names in a household list are whatever people type — "Mum", "Kev", "Jack". Nothing checks them and nothing links them to a real identity. Don't type anything into a list you wouldn't want a visitor reading off the fridge.
Who can see your list
Only people you give the link or the printed code to. Lists aren't published anywhere, aren't listed in any directory, and aren't indexed by search engines.
Anyone holding the card can open and add to that list — that's the design, and it's why the code belongs on your fridge rather than on your front fence.
The demo
The demo list never leaves your browser. It's kept in your device's local storage, it isn't sent to us, and clearing your browser data or hitting Reset the list removes it completely.
Tracking
This site runs no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts and no cross-site cookies. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request your browser makes for the font files.
Children
Mammas Pantry is meant to be used by whole households, kids included. That's exactly why it asks for nothing about them — no account, no email, no date of birth. A child using a family list adds a first name and a request for Milo, and nothing else is recorded.
Deleting a list
Ask and we'll delete it. Email hello@mammaspantry.com.au from a device that can open the list and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what's collected, the date at the top changes and we'll say so on the site rather than quietly swapping the page.
